The C.A.R.D Concept

In 2005, La Familia - a creative lifestyle gallery - began building a dynamic organization designed to support the arts and artists across genres.

IMG_5840.JPGWith a multi-departmentall focus on fine art, literature, music, and life enrichment, La Familia began an ambitious program, which included such things as fine art exhibitions, holistic vocal training, literary readings, artist mentoring, concerts, niche press publishing, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes.  The goal of the diverse programing was to demonstrate how working together as a whole can propel the careers of each individual faster than working alone.

The success of the project has been overwhelming.  The company's first novel, Chasing Tales, received a rave review in Seattle Magazine; artist Kathryn C. Mallory's work was purchased by the Anchorage Museum of History and Art; Music Director, Rebeqa has become one of Seattle's most sought-after vocal instructors; H'Art Dating became a bit of a phenomenon; artist Jason Stauffer grabbed a PONCHO Merit Award with works from his first show, and - well - you get the drift.

By 2008, La Familia knew its plan was working, and its curators began looking for ways to effectively widen the La Familia community.  The goal is to now offer the same services, support, and education that led to the success of La Familia's many projects to an increasing number of artists, authors, and musicians.
